Custom Nissan NV3500 Van Build

This Nissan NV3500 was transformed into a fully self-contained, off-grid capable adventure rig with a premium Victron electrical system, smart storage solutions, and modern aesthetics. The client requested a multi-functional space with integrated lighting, upgraded appliances, and built-in conveniences for both daily use and extended travel.

Exterior Upgrades

  • Maxxair Deluxe Vent Fan (7500 series) – Powered roof ventilation with remote and rain sensor.

  • Arctic Tern Windows (300mm x 700mm) – Dual-pane acrylic windows with built-in bug screens and blackout shades, installed high in the upper framing for privacy and airflow.

Storage & Cabinetry

  • Upper Cabinets – Custom-built above sink and galley with upgraded soft-close drawers.

  • Over Cab Cabinets – Factory-look 3-section open face storage.

  • Galley – Custom kitchen galley cabinet with WeWe brushed nickel pull-out faucet and stainless sink.

  • Under-Bed Cabinet – Includes:

    • Slide-out fridge compartment (Dometic CRX45)

    • Matching-height toilet door

    • Large single drawer between fridge/toilet and bed

    • Built-in ventilation slots

  • Microwave – Upper cabinet mounted with custom door clearance

  • Refrigerators:

    • Dometic CRX45L for drinks (with heavy-duty 500lb lockable slides)

    • Isotherm Freeline 140 (tall/skinny fridge in upper galley area)

  • Insulation & Framing – Full insulation with foam board in walls and subfloor (1.5"). Framing to accommodate cabinetry and smooth wall paneling in dove gray.

  • Flooring – Durable, odor-free coin flooring.

    • LED toe kick and ambient lights throughout

  • Wall & Ceiling Panels – Finished in dove gray with clean trim and secure, rattle-free paneling.
