The Brief

Build the foundation first.

Cedar Minimal blends a natural cabin feel with the durable surfaces and energy system required for real travel. The brief prioritized a solid shell, simple furniture, and room for the owner to adapt the van over time.

Insulation, Baltic birch framing, cedar walls and ceiling, and rubber coin flooring create a quiet, hard-wearing interior from the structure out.

A queen bed platform and dedicated battery cabinet provide the essential built-ins while inset L-track keeps the remaining floor useful for changing cargo.

Foundational by Design

Warm where it matters. Tough where it counts.

Tongue-and-groove cedar creates the atmosphere; Heksa-faced furniture, aluminum trim, coin flooring, and integrated L-track handle the wear of loading, camping, and travel.

10kWh battery bank: Two 48V lithium batteries provide a combined 10kWh of stored energy.
3000W inverter/charger: The system converts house power and accepts shore charging.
Alternator charging: The battery bank recharges while the van is underway.
Velit 3000R A/C: A low-profile 48V rooftop unit handles cabin cooling.
Ventilation + lighting: A Maxxair fan, six dimmable recessed lights, outlets, and USB power complete the daily-use layer.
